British singer Fka Twigs has been recruited to direct seven short films over the course of a week as part of the upcoming Manchester International Festival in the U.K.
The Video Girl star, real name Tahliah Barnett, has been chosen by festival organizers to create the mini-movies in seven days at Old Granada Studios. The films will be screened during the 18-day cultural celebration.
Bjork is among the performers at the festival, and Blur frontman Damon Albarn is set to showcase his new musical Wonder.land, a modern re-telling of the classic Lewis Carroll story, Alice in Wonderland.
The Manchester International Festival runs from 2 to 19 July (15).
