I'm Thomas Lennon, and we're at People In Leotards. It's called Cirque du Soleil KOOZA and it's not about age, it's about attitude.

Yes, but uh, we'll we'll talk about it later. share, what does Cirque du Soleil mean to you?

The first time I saw it, I couldn't speak. I was just like a kid. The first show I went to was '88 here. 1988, and I remember going to the Ivy the show and walking across the bridge and coming here. And being stunned at its brilliance.

I just love watching them. They're incredible performers and it brings back sort of that old nostalgia of the circus and performers and their level of talent is just it's a it's a great way to start the holidays and I'm super excited to be here to see them. Second guest: I've never been to one. This is my first time.

You're like a circus virgin, really? Second guest: Yes. I'm looking forward to not knowing anything. I'm looking forward to just to just seeing it as it happens and the chaos.

Well, I've been to a lot of Cirque du Soleils. Um, I really enjoyed O. I think that was my favorite. Um, and I'm excited to see what this new uh iteration of Cirque du Soleil has in store for us tonight. Third guest: Oh, uh, well, I have never been. I've always watched it on TV, and for some reason I was never in the city that they will be. Fourth guest: So unique. Like someone just asked me, what what what what are you expecting? And I go to the unexpected. Fifth guest: The one in Vegas, uh, O. Oh my God, that just blew my mind. That was another one where I was just like, I mean, they just every year they just expand like what's possible on stage. It's just it just it's so much fun. I can't wait to see what what's next. It's just an amazing thing. Sixth guest: She's never seen one of these and this is the most exciting part about this because you just don't have any idea what you're about to get into. It's something else.

Your fondest memory of a circus?

Oh, oh my gosh. I uh Gunther Gebel Williams, when I was a child. We don't do that anymore, but he was back in the day, there was like a guy and he was in spandex and he had short stuff and it was a, yeah. Seventh guest: Never went to a circus.

You never went to a circus? Seventh guest: Clowns scared me.

Do they scare you now? Seventh guest: No, 'cause I'm kind of a clown. Who are we kidding? Eighth guest: So, this is showing my age but when I went to my first circus which is in Blackpool in the north of England, they had uh tigers, they had uh an elephant. That point they had elephants that, and it's probably a horrible thing now and it's probably not correct. They had elephants that did tricks and would lift their legs up. All all series of them all left up. And as a little kid, they're massive animals and they seem so gentle. Ninth guest: I was a student at USC in 1984, and the Olympics came, and part of the Olympics was this crazy circus in downtown LA, uh, called Cirque du Soleil. And I was a theater kid and I heard that it was like this crazy, you know, new kind of circus and I went and I just balled the entire time. It was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen in my entire life. So, I've been a fan of Cirque du Soleil since I was a kid. Tenth guest: It's tonight. This is gonna be my fondest memory of a circus. Yeah.

Cirque du Soleil is about dreaming big. We. We. What do you got for people out there that are dreaming big? Eleventh guest: Wow, I, you know, figure out what your dream is, be crystal clear on it and go after it with every fiber of your being. Focus on the end, not the dream. Focus on where you want to be. Dreaming is one thing, hope is another thing, but focus is a much different thing. Twelfth guest: I would say don't wait. I think that I spent so long and honestly, not even that long, but so long putting off things that I really should have done so much earlier because I was scared that I wasn't good enough and I was scared that it was gonna be harder than it was. And and truth is, is that taking those risks changes your life. And it changed mine. Thirteenth guest: Oh, dude, you did it. That's the only that's the hardest part. Yeah. Everything else is just landing the splits. Yeah.

So here we are at Cirque du Soleil. Talk about your signature go-to flexible move. How flexible are you? You touch your toes at least. Fourteenth guest: We we're doing that. Yeah, yeah. Don't do it right now because I'll never get back up. Fifteenth guest: I can actually touch my toes, but I need help getting back up.

Well, you have a lot of support around you. You wanna try? Fifteenth guest: No, I do not want to try. Sixteenth guest: You know, I used to be a gymnastics coach, fun fact. So I'm not entirely unflexible. I don't know what my my signature move would be, but maybe I'll catch me doing some backflips in the future. Seventeenth guest: I have no clue. I'm not very flexible. You know, I've never really been like the guy who was busting out flips in the pool and stuff like that. I mean, I consider myself pretty athletic, but I think to do stuff like that, it's kind of next level. Eighteenth guest: I do yoga but not as flexible as they are. They're incredible. Nineteenth guest: When I was a little girl, I was so flexible that my mom uh they told her like if she goes into gymnastics, she could be a champion. But my life turned around and I became an actress, so I never practiced gymnastics. I can touch my toes.

Oh, let me see. Oh, here we go. You ready? Twentieth guest: Well, I've done Pilates since the early '90s. So, you you'd be stunned.

What can you do on a red carpet? Twentieth guest: You're looking at it. You're looking at what I can do on a red carpet. I better not when in dress, my love. But if I was with pants, maybe I'd try something here.

Go-to flexible?

Yes. You gotta be kidding me. So I'm older than Jerry Garcia. I can absolutely, I mean, are we talking like splits? We've had someone do a split.

Do you have all my tickets?

Who did what we the were the 54-year-old beloved comedian? Can you touch your toes at least?

Oh, hell yeah. Do it. Let's see. You ready for the show? I'm ready. You're ready. I'm ready. How about you, Leslie?

Oh, um, I can probably do uh like a back walkover with support.

Wow! Like a crab. Do you do yoga?

I do do yoga. So, does that make me qualified to be in Cirque du Soleil?

Yes. I mean, I could be in the circus. I can juggle.

Yeah, you can juggle. They need a juggler. Sign me up.

Um, and then you get stuck, and then your mortal enemies are on the red carpet. Of course, we're doing it. Of course, we're doing splits on the red carpet. Did you think this was amateur hour? Oh my God, and then you sold my tickets to Cirque du Soleil.
