The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker, who is currently in Australia as part of a world tour, preferred to travel without being surrounded by an entourage, but he has recently had to rethink his security situation because frenzied female fans are getting increasingly hands-on.
He tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "I've been given a security guard, for the first time in four years... it started getting a little grabby. I don't mind if people ask politely but if someone grabs you and pulls you..."
