In "One Shot with Ed Sheeran: A Music Experience", Ed Sheeran takes the phrase "all the world’s a stage" quite literally! Filmed by "Adolescence" director Philip Barantini, the special follows Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter, Ed Sheeran, as he performs his hits around NYC. And guess what? It was all filmed in one continuous take! Throughout the documentary, Sheeran performs in some crazy places. Here are what we think were the 5 craziest spots!
1. The High Line
With its lush greenery and fantastic view of the city, The High Line attracts many visitors on the daily. In this special, Sheeran was one of them! On The High Line, he sings "Perfect" while making his way over to a man who’s about to propose to his girlfriend. The couple then follows him further across The High Line as he begins to sing "Thinking Out Loud", finishing the song on a stage near "Dinosaur", The High Line’s giant pigeon statue. Although other people have performed on The High Line, not many of those performances have been paired with a surprise proposal, making this a very exciting and memorable moment from the special!
2. The Streets of New York
Throughout the special, there are multiple times where Sheeran sings while walking the streets of New York, but the craziest one would have to be when he sings "Don’t". During this song, a large group of fans follow him down the street, filming him with their phones while he’s making his way to the subway station. Then, as if that wasn’t crazy enough, he finishes the song in the subway station itself!
3. TopView Tour Bus
TopView bus tours allow people to explore New York City’s iconic landmarks, and on rare occasions they may even spot a celebrity along the way! However, it’s almost unheard of for a celebrity to get onto the bus itself, let alone give a free performance! But Sheeran hops onto the bus and performs an acoustic version of "I Don’t Care" on its top level. After that, the bus gets unexpectedly stuck in traffic. To fill the time, he teaches the tourists the chorus of his hit "Sing", having them sing along as he performs!

4. Souvenir Shop
Imagine trying to pick out which "I Love NY" shirt to buy when all of a sudden you hear a familiar voice come into the store… singing! Well, this was some people's reality! Sheeran begins singing "Lego House" while walking to his gig at the Hammerstein Ballroom, but along the way, he decides to stop at a souvenir shop. There, he picks out a baseball cap and pays for it, all while continuing the song! An event as wild as this probably gave those customers yet another reason to love New York.
5. Crowded Subway Train
Many people perform on subway platforms, but not everyone is bold enough to take their performance onto the subway itself! Sheeran performs his hit song "Sapphire" with a band on the subway platform, and just when you think his performance is over, he hops onto the subway. The subway train is very crowded, but that doesn’t stop him! He performs "Castle on the Hill" for the large crowd, and they even join him for the last chorus before he hops off!
"One Shot with Ed Sheeran: A Music Experience" is now streaming on Netflix!
