Anne Hathaway dismisses drowning story

Anne Hathaway has dismissed reports suggesting she almost drowned while on vacation in Hawaii earlier this month (Jan14).

The Les Miserables star hit headlines when photographs surfaced reportedly showing her struggling to stay afloat in a strong riptide and later lying on the beach as her husband nursed her injured toe.

However, Hathaway has cleared up the reports, insisting nothing happened and the pictures did not show her in trouble in the water.

She says, "I'm fine... I really do appreciate everybody's concern but that was a picture that had a false story attached to it. The real story is not as interesting."
