3 Other Colleen Hoover Books That Are Being Turned Into Movies!

From BookTok to Hollywood, Colleen Hoover is taking the world by storm. Known for her young adult romances and psychological thrillers, Hoover keeps writing best-seller after best-seller and has built herself a solid fanbase. Last year, her most popular book It Ends With Us was adapted into a movie starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. Now, more are set to follow! Here are all the upcoming Colleen Hoover book adaptations we can expect to see on the big screen soon!

1. Verity

The psychological thriller Verity is a favorite amongst the fans and for good reason! It follows the struggling writer Lowen Ashleigh who agrees to ghost-write the autobiography of Verity Crawford on her behalf, after a traumatic accident left Verity in a vegetative state. But when Lowen moves in with the Crawfords to write the book,  she soon realizes Verity is keeping some unsettling secrets… Yes, the premise sounds amazing, but it gets even better! The movie is set to star Dakota Johnson as Lowen, Anne Hathaway as Verity, and Josh Hartnett as her husband Jeremy! Does that sound like a dream cast or what?! Amazon MGM Studios is producing the movie and have partnered with director Michael Showalter and writer Nick Antosca, who has written the script. Oh, and filming has just wrapped so we can expect to see Verity in May 2026!

2. Regretting You

Already coming out this October is the film adaptation of Regretting You, a story about first love, family, grief, and betrayal. It is a coming-of-age story that revolves around Morgan Grant, who is determined to keep her 16-year-old daughter Clara from making the same mistakes she did – like getting pregnant and married way too young. But Clara just thinks her mother is much too uptight and the two often fight. Holding the ship together is Chris, Morgan’s husband. But when he is involved in a questionable accident, everything unravels. Secrets come to light, rebellious spirits arise, and a critical question forms -- can Morgan and Clara's relationship survive the fallout? Bringing this emotional story to life are Allison Williams and Mckenna Grace as the turbulent mother-daughter duo. Alongside them we’ll see Dave Franco, Willa Fitzgerald, and Scott Eastwood in supporting roles. Directing Regretting You will be Josh Boone, known for heartbreak classics such as The Fault in Our Stars. Together with Susan McMartin, he has also written the script, and on October 24 of this year, Paramount Pictures will release the movie and we will get to see Regretting You on the big screen! We cannot wait!

3. Reminders of Him

Summer may have only just started, but we are already looking forward to Valentine’s Day of 2026, because that’s when the romantic drama Reminders of Him will come to the big screen. It is a touching story about Kenna Rowan, who has just spent five years in prison and now reunites with her 4-year-old daughter. But everyone has shut Kenna off and is determined to keep her away from her daughter. Everyone, except the local bar owner Ledger Ward. But as the two grow closer, the pressure rises, and Kenna must confront her past to live her future. Reminders of Him will be directed by Vanessa Caswill, who is a true rom-com gem, with her previous film Love at First Sight making waves on Netflix. Aurene Levine and Hoover herself are writing the script. For the lead roles, we can expect to see Maika Monroe as Kenna and Tyriq Withers as Ledger Ward. Any "Outer Banks" and "Gilmore Girls" fans will also be happy to hear that Rudy Pankow and Lauren Graham have joined the cast too! The movie will be released by Universal Studios on February 13, 2026, so mark it in your calendar and save the date!
