5 Fashion Trends We're Loving For Spring!

Written by Kayla Walters. Published: February 18 2025

Despite what Punxsutawney Phil may have to say, Spring is coming in quick and it’s time to refresh your wardrobe for the season! Put down your scarves, send your Winter coat to the cleaners, and dust off your sandals -- here’s our list of top outfits for the latest weather acclimation!

1. Boxer Style Shorts

Boxer style shorts were a fun addition that was implemented late last Summer. Almost too early to see the full rise before this year’s harsh Winter, this year is the perfect time to run the look back for its full season capacity. The breezy bottom has been seen worn in fun patterns like plaid or simply as one standalone color, but the red gingham variety remains king for the ensemble. The easy, breezy fling of Spring is the perfect time to rejoice in the boxer wear and add a tomboy look to your rotation.

2. Capri Pants

The new wave of popularity for this look may be loosely inspired by the resurgence of Bratz in media, or possibly the return of Y2K aesthetic. Regardless of either attribution, capri pants have been making a slow rise. Spring is the best time for the return of the 3/4-legged pants, topped with a flirty shirt and a fun shoe to scandalously show off ankles (oh my!). Our best advice would be to tie the look together with either a block-color sleeveless or graphic short sleeve top to complement the pants perfectly, and a chunky wedge or trainers, depending on your tasks for the day.

3. Oversized Leather Jackets

This item has been a staple in any fashion girl’s rotation, and Spring is the last time of the year it can be implemented before Summer! A perfect overcoat for a night out with friends, or just a last minute addition to any outfit to add an air of sophistication to any look. Oversized leather jackets, preferably with a scrunched bottom and bevy of pockets, are best when utilized in traditional color for the look like deep browns and darkest of blacks. The flexibility of the look is best for its ability to be topped over the daintiest of dresses, mostly for its "boyfriend’s jacket" appeal, or the grungiest of fits you have.

4. Bold and Fun Patterns

While this may be a bit overzealous following a chilling Winter that was relegated to block-style chic, it only makes sense to rejoice in the coming warmer months with colorful patterns that reflect the atmosphere. While floral looks will always remain for Spring ("groundbreaking"), this season is perfect to bring in waves of bold colors. Plaids, stripes, neon, gingham, you name it! All is perfect for the warmer months for this year.

5. Maxi Skirts

Coming as no shocker to any, maxi skirts have been the hallmark in fashion regardless of season for the past few years. This coming season should be no different, with the only difference being a priority for lighter and more floral varieties for the piece. This look should be styled with crop tops, equally lightweight tops (plunge tops, etc). A new addition to the look has been an inclusion of early-2000s sensibilities with plaid looks and fun ruffles, ushering in a new wave for maxi skirts everywhere.
