Ryan Gosling breaks up New York fight

Actor Ryan Gosling broke up a scuffle while strolling through the streets of New York over the weekend (20-21Aug11).

The Notebook star was walking across a busy intersection in the East Village when he came across two men fighting and bickering in the middle of the road.

Passersby had begun to gather nearby to watch the commotion, when Ryan Gosling stepped in to break up the brawl and physically separate the two, who were reportedly fighting over the ownership of a painting.

In video footage, captured by E! News, the actor can be seen escorting one of the men away from the altercation.
