Missy Elliott will follow up her Super Bowl half-time show comeback by headlining the Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana this summer (Jul15).
Elliott wowed fans at Super Bowl XLIX in Arizona when she joined headliner Katy Perry onstage, and, clearly moved by the feedback from fans, she has announced plans to play her first Essence Festival.
The rapper will join Usher, who last headlined the festival's main stage in 2011.
Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, Common, Kevin Hart and Erykah Badu are also billed to perform.
