Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon signed a prenuptial agreement featuring a financial penalty for speaking publicly about their breakup, according to a new report.
Cannon filed divorce papers last month (Dec14) following their decision to split in September (14) and now editors at TMZ.com report the couple drew up a prenup before they married in 2008.
It allegedly features a confidentiality clause stating that Cannon will have to pay his ex a $250,000 penalty for going public about the split, while Carey would have to hand him $500,000 for discussing it.
Carey has a higher penalty fee as her financial worth dwarfed Cannon's when they first met.
