Pop star Lady Gaga is to guest star on The Simpsons as herself.
The Bad Romance hitmaker will appear in an upcoming episode titled Lisa Goes Gaga - as Lisa Simpson's self-esteem coach.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly about the experience of becoming a cartoon character, she says, “I make music, but I don’t do voice overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humour.
Like the real Lady Gaga, her animated self is a fashionista who appears in a variety of wardrobe changes - and the pop star can't wait for people to see her latest work.
She adds, “I would say this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done... My dad’s probably going to do 80 back flips when the episode comes out.”
Lisa Goes Gaga will air next spring (12).
