Katie Holmes is proving she has the common touch in the wake of her split from Tom Cruise by mingling with commuters and tourists on the New York subway.
The former Dawson's Creek star stunned the world when she filed for divorce from Cruise in June (12), and their marriage was officially ended in August (12) when the settlement was signed.
Holmes has since been seen frequently walking the streets of the Big Apple with the couple's daughter Suri, six, and now she's taken to riding subway trains around the city.
The actress is pictured in the new edition of Life + Style sitting on an E Train in Manhattan, wearing sunglasses and checking messages on her phone.
