ARTIST TO WATCH: Wallows

If you're a fan of actor Dylan Minnette like we are, chances are you've heard of this band Wallows. Dylan is known for his roles in the series "13 Reasons Why" and most recently in the film Scream.; you can next see him in Hulu's upcoming limited series "The Dropout" premiering on March 3. Aside from his career in the film industry, he also enjoys playing music. He is one-third of the band Wallows, an emerging alternative rock band that began releasing songs independently in 2017. 

His bandmates are Braeden Lemasters (bass guitar) and Cole Preston (drums), while Dylan plays the rhythm guitar as well as being one of the leading vocalists of the band. The group assembled in 2014 as The Narwhals before coming together once more in 2017 to form Wallows. One of their first songs to be released was “Pleaser” and it gained popularity as their album Spring was released in 2018, officially cementing their musical journey as a band.

They have played various high-profile venues and music fests, including Lollapalooza, Coachella, and The Roxy, and with the upcoming release of their sophomore album Tell Me That It’s Over on March 25, their second tour kicks off on April 1st through February 2023! This for sure will be one of their most memorable tours yet! They have sold out most of their venues for their upcoming shows and we're sure they will definitely sell out of tickets for their 2023 shows as well.

1. "Especially You"

Starting off 2022 with their release of "Especially You" on February 3 and gaining over 100k views within a few hours of its release, it is for certain a great start to the new year. The song is directed by Jason Lester, who has helmed many music videos with artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Bebe Rexha, and Julia Michaels.

2. "Quarterback"

"Quarterback" is one of their songs from their Remote EP, gaining over 1.7 million views on YouTube as of this writing.

3. "Scrawny"

"Scrawny" was released in 2019, reaching nearly 7.5 million views on YouTube at the moment since March of 2019. It is a well-crafted music video featuring the Wallows in a boxing match detailed in red. 

4. "Are You Bored Yet"

Are you bored yet? Because we certainly are not! This Wallows song featuring Clairo has over 60 million views on YouTube and is one of their well-known tracks. It is one of their catchy songs and one you should definitely listen to. 

5. "Nobody Get’s Me Like You"

This single was eleased in 2020 and the music video is a continuation of their song “OK”. It built so much anticipation after their song “OK” and it was worth the wait for certain.
