Madonna, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift have been named the top-earning females in music in 2013, according to a new Forbes magazine poll.
The Material Girl hitmaker already proved her superstar power last month (Nov13) by claiming the Forbes title for the highest-paid musician in the year to June, 2013 with an estimated salary of $125 million, beating Gaga, who earned $80 million and rockers Bon Jovi ($79 million).
The figures automatically placed Madonna and Gaga atop the new women-only countdown, which was released on Wednesday (11Dec13), with Swift rounding out the top three with $55 million.
Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez earned fourth and fifth positions, with respective pay cheques of $53 million and $45 million, while other females featured at the top of the 2013 standings including Rihanna, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood and Mariah Carey.
