Writer Bret Easton Ellis has accused Lindsay Lohan of skipping a voice recording session on his new movie The Canyons.

Ellis alleges the Mean Girls star, who plays lead character Tara in the thriller, was due to attend an automatic dialogue replacement (ADR) appointment on Thursday (18Oct12) but did not show up as scheduled.

The author/screenwriter took to his Twitter.com page to address Lohan's alleged absence, and referred to his American Psycho serial killer character Patrick Bateman in the tweet.

He writes, "Patrick Bateman has just headed over to Lindsay Lohan's hotel to confront her as to why she missed her f**king ADR on The Canyons today..."

A representative for Lohan refused to comment on the claim.
