The animal-loving reality TV star was stunned to discover just how fake Uggs are manufactured - replacing animal pelts with sheepskin.
In a tweet to fans, Hilton has directed them to a website featuring footage of the cruel practice involving raccoon dogs, and she's calling on her online followers to boycott the trade.
She writes, "This is so sad & disgusting. I don't know how someone could do this to an animal. Don't buy fake Ugg boots."
