The Scandal star reportedly welcomed daughter Isabelle with husband Nnamdi Asomugha at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on 21 April, but she has refused to comment publicly on the new arrival.
However, the notoriously private actress decided to confirm the news to fans on Twitter.com while celebrating her first Mother's Day, which fell on Sunday (11May14).
