Glee Creator Turned Down Carey Mulligan Cameo

Carey Mulligan was snubbed for an appearance in a cameo on hit show Glee - because creator Ryan Murphy was convinced she "wasn't famous enough".

The Oscar nominee is such a big fan of the hit TV programme she approached the makers and asked if she could appear in an episode.

But the An Education actress was told she wasn't well-known enough to land a special part.

She says, "I really wanted to be in Glee. I did ask about it, but I was told I wasn't famous enough to have a cameo."
