Ed Sheeran had a little historic fun at pal Taylor Swift's Independence Day party in Rhode Island, turning up in a Revolutionary War-inspired red coat ensemble.
Sheeran, who was the token Brit at the annual Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular over the weekend, made it out to Swift's coastal retreat in uniform, reminding party guests of the history surrounding Independence Day, which came after a victory against the Brits.
Swift posted a photo of a serious Sheeran in costume and wearing sunglasses online, joking, "When Ed shows up in a red coat for the 4th of July because he just can't let it go."
In the shot, Swift mocks her British guest while waving a tiny U.S. flag.
Sheeran wasn't the only Brit at the bash - Swift's Scottish boyfriend Calvin Harris was also in attendance.
