Ed Sheeran is convinced he had no chance of dating Taylor Swift because he isn't the pop star's "type".
The two singers grew close while working on Swift's latest album, Red, but their relationship remained strictly professional.
However, Sheeran is adamant Swift never gave him a chance romantically because she only dates heartthrobs.
He tells British newspaper The Sun, "We had great fun when we met. But I don't think I'm Taylor's type. If you look at all the dudes she's dated, they're all tall, brown hair, brown eyes, very attractive and all the girls scream for them. I'm chubby, ginger with blue eyes."
Swift has previously been linked to Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer, and she is now rumoured to be dating One Direction star Harry Styles.
