In the CNN documentary, entitled Nepal’s Stolen Children, Demi Moore met with one woman who had been forced to work in a brothel, where her young daughter was also kept hostage. Police managed to save the mother during a raid, but did not remove the daughter.
Officials eventually did rescue the young girl, and Demi Moore was witness to their reunion - but was left in tears when the girl failed to recognize her mother.
Demi Moore says, "As a mother of three girls myself, it was painful to watch, and everyone in the room feels helpless."
The documentary aired on Sunday (26Jun11).
