Ben Affleck donned a traditional cap and gown on Sunday (26May13) as he was handed an honorary doctorate from one of America's most prestigious universities.
The Oscar-winning Argo director beamed with pride as he was awarded a fine arts degree from Rhode Island's Brown University in recognition of his acting and filmmaking career.
Affleck punched the air with delight as he received the honor and gave a speech to his fellow graduates.
Bruce Willis' daughter Scout, by ex-wife Demi Moore, also graduated from the establishment on Sunday, and the actor's wife Emma Heming-Willis took to her Twitter.com page to applaud her stepdaughter.
In a post, she writes, "Congrats to Scout who graduated from Brown today. Proud day!"
