Rapper Talib Kweli will headline the first ever NY Loves Dilla tribute concert, dedicated to the memory of late hip-hop producer J Dilla.
The Get By hitmaker will perform at Webster Hall in Manhattan, New York on 23 March (14) to help raise money for the J Dilla Foundation, a non-profit organization set up by the producer's mother to provide scholarships to financially-strapped music students.
Organisers plan to turn the show into an annual event.
Dilla, real name James Yancey, died from complications related to autoimmune disease lupus in February, 2006.
