Actresses Melissa Benoist and Calista Flockhart are officially heading back to the small screen after bosses at CBS picked up their new show Supergirl as a series.
Glee star Benoist plays the titular character in the superheroine series, while Flockhart joins a supporting cast of TV veterans, including Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Laura Benanti and former Superman Dean Cain.
Supergirl is slated to debut later this year (15).
