Singer/actress Selena Gomez has chastised one of her Instagram.com followers for bullying a suicidal fan and encouraging the intimidated youngster to self-harm.
The Come & Get It hitmaker was left stunned after a devotee using the handle @keylimegomez shared a screengrab of a photo featuring a scar on her left arm, with a nasty comment by a user named @selinagomesfan urging her to "cut, cut, cut, cut!"
Alongside the image, uploaded on Christmas Day (25Dec13), @keylimegomez referred to the hurtful comment by writing, "I just wanna die so all of this will end already. I feel so worthless. It's hard for me to ignore people."
Gomez was so shocked by the rude fan's bad behavior, she blasted the bully online and reached out to @keylimegomez to show her support.
She wrote, "This is ridiculous. @selinagomesfan my fans don't do this to others. That's not what I stand for so you can gladly stop being a fan of me. I only encourage love, confidence, kindness.
"My love, @keylimegomez you are gorgeous just the way you are. Don't you ever attempt that s**t again. Ok? I love you too much for you to be doing that.
"PS. To all of my fans, don't ever think this is fun to get attention. It's just wrong. I love you all just the way you are."
