Huntington-Whiteley is convinced many critics assume she landed her career through family contacts because of her refined voice and posh-sounding name, but she is adamant the rumours are not true.
She tells Britain's Elle magazine, "I know people assume I grew up with a silver spoon in my mouth because of the double-barrelled name. Nothing is further from the truth. I've worked for everything I have. I never got any financial help from my parents. Not because they didn't want to, but because they couldn't. What they gave me instead was a sheltered upbringing and I'm really thankful for it. I return home as often as I can because it reminds me that what's important in life is love and family. Otherwise your soul can get lost when you're working in a crazy world."
