The Cosby Show castmember played the lead in the ABC comedy drama about an aspiring actress who leaves the south in a bid to make it in Hollywood.
But on Friday (16Sep11), TV executives cancelled the show due to disappointing viewer figures.
Bosses at ABC have renewed programmes including Make It Or Break It, Switched At Birth, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, and Pretty Little Liars.
