Raven-Symone was forced to pad her outfits to play a full-figured actress - because she lost so much weight in between casting and filming for her new TV show State Of Georgia.
Symone, who rose to fame as a child in The Cosby Show and as a teenager in the popular Disney Channel series That's So Raven!, took a hiatus from the acting world in 2007 to enjoy her remaining youth.
But when she returned and won the role of Georgia - a curvy star trying to make it in the entertainment industry - she threw her costume designer for a loop when she arrived on the set 70 pounds (31.8 kilograms) lighter.
She jokes to People magazine, "They had to pad my outfits. I finally lose weight, and the show wants me to be thicker!"
And although the star couldn't be happier with her new body, she urges young teens to embrace their figure - no matter the size.
She adds, "People say, 'You look so pretty!' But I was pretty before. It messes with your head a bit... Whether or not I'm this size, I always preached, 'Be comfortable with yourself,' and I will preach that forever."
