Naomi Watts cast as Factionless leader in Divergent sequel

Naomi Watts has joined the cast of the Divergent sequel.

The Australian actress will join returning stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet and Miles Teller and fellow newcomer Octavia Spencer in Insurgent, the follow-up to last year's (13) hit adaptation of Veronica Roth's novel.

Watts will play Evelyn, the leader of the Factionless, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
