Mark Wahlberg is set to executive produce a new reality TV series about four graduate students from the Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT).

The Departed star is expanding his resume with another Boston-based show, tentatively titled The Big Brew Theory - a homage to hit science-centered sitcom The Big Bang Theory.

The show follows four graduate students from the revered school who pool their funds in the hope of creating a successful home grown micro-brewery.

The Big Brew Theory has been greenlit by bosses at the A&E network, which is also home to the actor's other reality series, Wahlburgers, which focuses on his restaurant business with brothers Donnie and Paul.

Wahlberg's most recent reality TV effort, Breaking Boston, was pulled from the A&E lineup after just one episode in March (14).
