Katie Holmes eyes West End role

Actress Katie Holmes is dreaming of a theater role in London's West End.

The Batman Begins star loves the city and wants to prove her live acting chops by landing a coveted role in a leading stage production in the U.K. capital.

She tells the London Evening Standard, "I would love to act in the West End. It would be great for that to happen... I love London and hope to be back soon."

Holmes is best known for her onscreen role in TV hit Dawson's Creek but she has some previous theater experience - she appeared on Broadway in All My Sons in 2008 and Dead Accounts last year (13).
