The actor quit his course at New York City's Columbia University to pursue a career in Hollywood.
Jake Gyllenhaal admits he's always regretted the decision to cut short his education, and he's planning to find time to return to college to finish where he left off.
He says, "I dropped out of Columbia University in 2000 after two years of studying Eastern religions and philosophy to concentrate on acting. But I have always wanted to finished my degree."
