It has been said for while that star athlete LeBron James will be double-dipping into the producing game. While we’ve only heard about potential projects and sports documentaries he’s gotten behind, nothing solid on the scripted front has seemed to come out… until now.
James is set to produce a remake of the classic Martin Lawrence comedy House Party with the film’s original company New Line. Being a financial success, the original had two more sequels spanning across the early-to-mid-90’s. While no production date has been announced, we know that FX’s “Atlanta” writers Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover (Donald Glover’s brother) will be penning the script.
