Speaking on The View on Monday (23May11), the Poker Face singer says, "My dad's sister Joanne died when she was 19. I wear a birth certificate of hers around my neck. She died of Lupus. I just feel very close to her.
"I actually pray to her (before every concert). And the whole cast goes, 'Joanne.' She died so young and she didn't get to live out the rest of her life, so I'm living it out for her."
