Emma Watson went to silent retreat ahead of split

Actress Emma Watson jetted off to a silent retreat in Canada to deal with the breakdown of her relationship with rugby player Matthew Janney.

The Harry Potter star split from Janney in November (14) after a year of dating, but before they officially called it quits, Watson headed to a center in the Rocky Mountains, where visitors are expected to take a vow of week-long silence, to gather her thoughts.

She told British Vogue magazine, "I felt really uncomfortable... even before my relationship ended, I went on a silent retreat because I really wanted to figure out how to be at home with myself."
