Ellie Goulding has been forced to dismiss rumours she married in secret over the weekend (18-19Jan14) after an online joke backfired.
The pop star sent fans into a frenzy on Saturday (18Jan14) by posting a picture on her Instagram.com page which showed her posing in a white dress alongside a man in a suit. She captioned a second picture "Just married".
Goulding later returned to the website to clarify her comments, adding, "Obviously I am not in fact married."
Reports suggest the Lights hitmaker was actually attending a swanky fancy dress party.
