Elizabeth Banks to direct Pitch Perfect sequel

The Hunger Games star Elizabeth Banks is stepping behind the camera to direct the Pitch Perfect sequel.

The film project will mark the actress' directorial debut.

Banks co-starred in and produced the original film, which became a surprise cult hit in 2012.

Stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson are reportedly attached to reprise their characters in the sequel.
