The Homeland star gave birth to a son, named Cyrus Michael Christopher Dancy, on Monday (17Dec12).
It's been a stellar year for the actress; she was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe for her performance on the hit show last week (ends16Dec12).
Danes and British actor Dancy married in France in 2009.
