Chris Evans has assured fans he's not mourning a dead dog after revealing on social media how much he's missing his adopted pet Dodger.
The Captain America star tweeted a photo of himself and his four-legged friend and admitted he was "missing" his dog on Saturday (08Jul17), leading many fans to believe the hound had died.
"Really missing this guy right now," he wrote.
Followers offered their condolences and one revealed he had just put his beloved pet to sleep.
The online support prompted the Avengers actor to clarify his post - he wrote: "To be clear, he's alive and well, just thousands of miles away for the next couple months."
Evans is currently on location filming Avengers: Infinity War.
The movie star adopted Dodger last year (16) while filming a scene in an animal shelter for his movie Gifted.
