The Kiss Kiss hitmaker stopped by the city's Harlem area for a few games of pick-up basketball, a street style version of the sport, and played alongside local youths.
Excited fans took to Twitter.com to share snaps of the star playing basketball in a black T-shirt and chatting with young devotees off court.
Brown was on the court "for a couple of hours playing with the neighborhood kids", according to the New York Post.
