Lead producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris confirmed director Julie Taymor's exit on Wednesday (09Mar11), although she will remain part of the creative team. They also revealed the musical would undergo "significant" revisions, while Bono and The Edge are going back to the drawing board to write some new songs for the show.
On Friday (11Mar11), they announced Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark, which had been mauled by critics, would shut down from 19 April to 11 May (11) to allow time for the changes to be made.
An official launch date has now been set for 14 June (11).
