"By the end, it's probably 20 pounds. You can't see, you can't talk, you can't even hear by the end because they put so many layers on," Bassinger explained regarding the detailed fittings required before stepping in front of the camera with her co-stars.

Beyond the family home, Bassinger anchored a fresh generation of crime-fighters in DC's Stargirl. "And so, it got me really excited just like seeing that I was going to get to portray this character that balanced both of those things because I think as an actor, they're both very they're both things that I really wanted to do," Bassinger said while breaking down the duality of navigating teenage social life and major action sequences alongside her ensemble.
