Angelina Jolie fought back tears at the premiere of her new film Unbroken in Sydney, Australia on Monday (17Nov14) after she was read a poignant quote from the late Louis Zamperini.
The Maleficent star directed the film based on the life of the late Olympic runner and prisoner-of-war survivor, but Zamperini passed away in July (14) just months before the movie's release.
At the red carpet screening of the film, a reporter read Jolie a quote from Zamperini in which the late hero sang her praises, and she fought to hold back her tears.
In video footage posted online, the actress struggled to compose herself and was left unable to speak as the reporter pressed her for an answer. Eventually Jolie manager to whisper, "He was a great man".
Unbroken is due for release in December (14).
