Girls Gone Wild creator Joe Francis and his girlfriend Abbey Wilson have become first-time parents.
Wilson gave birth to twin girls on Tuesday (07Oct14) in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where Francis owns a home.
A statement released by the couple reads: "Proud first time parents Joe Francis and Abbey Wilson are delighted to announce the birth of their two daughters, Alexandria Claire Francis and Athena Olivia Francis."
The 41-year-old adult filmmaker announced in April (14) that 26-year-old Wilson had undergone in vitro fertilisation (IVF) to ensure the pair would have daughters.
He said, "We chose to have girls. I believe people will finally understand my love, respect and admiration for women. I love girls."
The happy news will give Francis a little respite from his legal troubles - he became a wanted man in August (14) after skipping a court date relating to a recent altercation at his former office in Los Angeles. He is facing a slew of misdemeanor charges for the incident, including battery, making criminal threats, trespassing and disobeying a court order.
Bosses at Francis' company filed for bankruptcy last year (13) and the soft porn business was reportedly taken over by a new owner.
