Adele's 21 certified four-times platinum

Adele's 21 has been certified quadruple platinum.

Hours before Adele was expected to lead the Grammy Awards nominations, the Someone Like You singer's hit 2011 album sailed past the four million sales mark to further distance itself from other big sellers in America.

The album hit the charts in February (11) and took just a month to pass one million sales.
