Written by Tania Ortiz. Published: December 07 2020

The holiday season is in full swing and we are all probably scrambling to find the perfect gifts for our loved ones. The pandemic has impacted many small businesses throughout our communities and what better way to support them than shopping small this holiday season?!

Here are 5 small businesses that you should consider shopping from this holiday season!

1. Jen Zeano Designs

This Latina-owned business based in Houston is one of my personal favorites to shop at. The store sells almost everything from apparel to stationary. The designs are created by the owner, Jen Zeano. T-shirts and sweatshirts are manually screen printed and packaged by the owner with help from her family. The business is about girl power, Latina magic, adventure, and celebrating every tiny victory.

2. Jack and Bec

Jack and Bec are a female-founded and family operated small business based in San Antonio. The business promotes body positivity, normalization of reproductive health, and mental health awareness. They produce apparel and accessories like masks, buttons, totes, and masks. Jack and Bec also offer personalized portraits and commissioned work.

3. WanderinSoul

If you have a music lover in your close circle, wanderinsoul on Etsy has you covered. This New Jersey-based business creates original prints and pins based on some of the biggest names in music like Halsey, Harry Styles, and Tame Impala. At their second store, wanderinseoul, the prints and pins are inspired by K-Pop music groups like BTS.
