Police seeking to speak to Future over bodyguard's death
Police officials in Georgia have appealed to rapper Future to get in touch with them, so he can aid their investigation into the shooting death of his bodyguard on Monday (25Jan16).
Michael Tanner Phillips, 27, was shot and killed at the Jonesboro home he shared with his pregnant wife, who was not in the same room at the time of the fatal incident.
Lieutenant Frank Thomas of the Clayton County Police Department
revealed some neighbors had "heard some arguing and some gunshots",
but cops have yet to make any arrests or name any suspects.
They are now seeking to talk to the bodyguard's friends and
associates, including Future, to determine if they can offer up any
information which may help identify Phillips' killer.
According to TMZ.com, investigators do not believe the murder was
gang-related.
Future paid tribute to Phillips on Twitter after the tragic news
broke late on Monday, writing, "Rest in Paradise Big Mike Lafamilia
forever lil bro (sic)".
