He tells People magazine, "I had a moment by myself (before the nuptials) where I played a song she wrote for me specifically for the wedding, How Much a Heart Can Hold. It was so beautiful. I just started crying."
And the newlyweds' first dance as man and wife was just as poignant as they stepped onto the dancefloor to Patty Griffin's When It Don't Come Easy - a reference to the difficult start to their relationship.
The stars were both married when they began an affair on the set of a TV movie in 2009 and they subsequently divorced their spouses to be together.
LeAnn Rimes says, "We've overcome just about everything we possibly could to be together. Nothing's quite come easy in this relationship, except for us knowing that we belong together."
But their nuptials weren't all serious - Eddie Cibrian and LeAnn Rimes entered the wedding reception room with the actor's two young sons to music from Star Wars, all brandishing light sabres, before being introduced as the Cibrian family.
