Jamie Foxx is Ballin' at His House

Jamie's got skills. I know what he is. Woo! What you want? We ain't got the record. Welcome to Young Hollywood. RJ here. We're with the one and only Jamie Fox and we are hanging out at your house. Now, I've been at your old house and that that was a pretty nice house and that was pretty dope, the basketball court and everything. But this, I mean this is off the charts.

Man, like I said, uh, or like Kenyon Martin said, man, we blessed and to be able to have everybody come here, man, and we raised close to $400,000 by the end of it, we'll probably be at a half a million dollars for the Jamie Fox Foundation for the Pacific Lodge boys. And we're inside of that, we'll give up to other uh foundations. And they came strong and they saw Tyson Chandler 25G. Tyson Chandler 25. He gave 30G. 30G. And we just sat down with Shaun Marion, 35G. 35G, right? So, you know, I mean those guys, man, like they say, you know, they come from humble beginnings. And when you see these kids, man, like, I would always go to people's charities, but never really have my own to spearhead. So, this is just great, man, and and to see these kids, man, you know, they've either been gang bangers from the street or been abused. You know, that's what it's about.

And how'd you come up with the whole concept that it'll be a three-on-three basketball tournament?

Well, I got with Christian, I got with Rassoul and they say three-on-three since it's an NBA lockout, so we do celebrities, do the three-on-three, you know what I'm saying? And then do the NBA players, they wanted to run up down the court, saw off a little bit, so Nate Robinson, Kemba Walker, those guys really made it hot. Now, I've been doing three-on-three tournaments since like 97-98. And uh back when like Shaq had "Twism" and all that other kind of stuff. So, now it's uh it's time to turn it up a notch and these guys have lent in their their mind, their energy, their talents to raise this money.

And you know, everyone knows all the movie stuff you're doing, all the music stuff you're doing, but you also get involved behind the scenes. Like you're producing a lot now. You're managing some people.

Yeah. Yeah, yeah.

What are you most passionate about? What are you what

I think I think it's all of it, man. I mean, you know, now now that the way Hollywood is set up or our business is set up, you could be have to be involved in anything. Could be in sports, from the hood to the White House. You know, you just have your hands in everything.

So, what haven't you tackled that you want to tackle next?

I mean it's a lot, man. I mean, from you know, directing your stuff and writing and and and and seeing it come to come to fruition, you know what I'm saying? So, I just keep mashing it. I got a lot of a lot of funny stuff to say. I got a lot of uh dramatic stuff to do, so I'm just laying in.
