The last time I caught up with you, we were at the Puma Social Lounge and you guys were ready to perform. You're away for three days till you come my number and you take. And what are you rehearsing for now?

Um, we are getting ready to do a show at the Roxy on Saturday and uh yeah, running through all the songs today, ready to go. Um yeah, no, we're excited. We're doing like a bunch of new songs and um it's going to be a good show.

So tell me about the show that you guys are preparing for right now. Who's it with? Anybody else that's going to be on the show.

Yeah, I mean we have a lot of great people opening up. Um Jamie D, Tara Manning is going to be DJing, so that's really cool. fun. It's going to be a good night.

So City Lights is your big single. If you can see me, I would thank you cuz I can't see anything. So you guys have a cool collaboration on that one. Who's the one?

Fabulous, is featured on the song, so we're excited about that. That's just going to radio now, going

So how do you get somebody like Fabulous to be featured on this song? It's like that. No. Is that how you roll? You do know a lot of people in the music biz.

We know. I I I did, you know, we had him in mind and we we sent him the song and he was like, he he he said what he saw. He's like, I knew instantly I wanted to get on it.

We heard City Lights, we heard a bunch of your other songs. Any other song in particular that you guys are just loving right now?

Um we have this song called murder you.

What's this song about?

Um, I don't know. In particular. All I want to do all I want to do all I want to do is murder you.

The last time I caught up with you, I didn't get a chance to hear you sing live and I am blown away by you. Wow. Where did you get where'd you get those chops?

Just kind of growing up in my family, in church, my mom, everybody kind of does something.

Your father's a pastor actually, right?

Oh, yes.

So is that where you got your beginnings?

It is. I kind of I started just kind of living in church every day. Some people's nightmare, my joy. My everything I heard was soul, everything was like old hymns, old soul, old gospel songs, so that was where I gained like every ounce of what I know now because I wasn't allowed to listen to anything else. So the only influences I had up until I was 18 were Christian gospel music.
